Does anyone know if the home sharing play count bug has been fixed? I'd upgrade if it has but if it hasn't I'll stick with my 4.3.1 jailbreak.
For those who don't know what I'm talking about there was a bug where home sharing to device was not updating song play counts in iTunes like it's suppose to.

Nice idea and interesting. best bet would be a collaboration with Panasonic. After all since Pioneer stopped production of the best flast screen TVs ever and Panasonic employing those engineers who got laid of from Pioneer, their new 2011 panels are simply the best platform for it. if they put it into a Samsung or alike then no thanks. panny s are reasonably priced.

No real surprise here. Apple has been charging for MobileMe. Why not this service.

Given the mediocre performance of MobileMe, I think if they work the bugs out of the Cloud Based Storage Service it's easily going to command around $200 per year.

I'm running it on my air as fast as I can... but I'm stuck on this Astropulse thats taking 200 hours to complete :(

So many people just love to see every issue from the Apple perspective. There are people who get paid for that. Should not you - as a consumer - care more about the gadget you want than Apple success?
You enjoy seeing every issue from the perspective of someone who wants Apple to fail.
Apple cares very deeply about their product, which is why they don't give in to every spec junkie who demands the latest and greatest immediately. The current chips don't give a usable battery life in Apple's eyes. If you want to get a phone that eats batteries that's your business, but Apple doesn't have an interest in developing anything like that.
Apple does not have to use two chips. They could just design separate phone for Verizon (just like iPhone 4) which does not support GSM. Not ideal but that's where technology is today. At least Verizon customers could enjoy iPhone 5 with LTE.
They would still have to use two chips as I understand it: one to support CDMA and then the other to support LTE.

AlexF...you seem to just be digging yourself into a deeper hole. You should just drop it, because your point is pointless. The iPod is the single greatest thing to happen to the "mac" in the history of Apple. And I've been here for the entirety of that history.

Called Brea this morning (around 8 AM). They don't know if they are getting any today (I swear, retail employees don't know anything about anything), but there's already a line about 100 people deep. Yeesh.

Exactly in the same boat except my 3G has a shattered screen with bits of glass that has fallen off. It has gone through hell and back but, I decided to wait since June is only a short wait away. Now, supposedly its been pushed back to september and I am planning on getting a new phone in either june or july since I will have some extra cash and can move to verizon on a family plan. I dont want to get the 4 when the new one is right around the corner. So, this pushing back to september means I'll probably move to the Droid. Hopefully the announcement is still in june and these rumors are just to throw us off since the last iPhone announcement wasnt very exciting since we all knew what was coming.

9 To 5 Mac's discovery is quite interesting as it shows that this is a recent and updated iPhone with an A5, rather then an old iPhone 4. Maybe the new iPhone 5 will bring some more carriers for the Americans, help slow the loss to Android?

Why no Thunderbolt cards for MacPro users?

- CNet's live coverage reveals that there are no plans to offer Thunderbolt PCIe cards. In fact, Intel says that you will need a new computer/motherboard to get Thunderbolt. That means Mac Pro owners won't be able to add it on to their systems.
10:25 a.m. (Dong Ngo) : There won't be TB PCIe cards it seems. You'll need a new computer.
10:34 a.m. (Dong Ngo) : There won't be add-in TB adapters, you'll need a new computer/motherboard that supports TB.
Since it's PCIe related, my guess is that its integration goes deeper than just a "PCIe socket" on the logic board. Just slapping a TB PCIe card in a MacPro won't do it, apparently. Bummer, yeah.
I'm glad I sold my 2008 Mac Pro and picked up one of those new MBP's. I love being able to take my Mac(Book) Pro anywhere with me. Couldn't have done that very easily/conveniently with the Mac Pro. Now hurry up TB dock/RAID. :)

I am not too keen on this "cartoony" 3D effect Apple seem to be going for.
Torn off pages… faux-leather binding… I mean doesn't anyone else think it is a bit corny?
It really does seems as if the cutesyeness of the iOS is spreading over to OSX.
I'd prefer a clean modern OS with usability first and foremost.
Screw the gratuitous eyecandy…
